by Cristhiam Flores, Saga Henriksdotter, Paulina Ocampo, Samuel Pastor, Irene Platarrueda, Ayesha Sarapuddin

Abstract

The (Sustainable) Food for Thought podcast talks about how community-led food initiatives and new food organizations address SDG 2 “Zero Hunge ” through a food systems approach. To discuss this, we invited the heads of the KU Leuven Geogarden and Food Saving Leuven to speak about their experiences in starting and leading these organizations. We also learn from the expert insights of a professor on Bioeconomics, explaining what it takes to transform the food system into a more sustainable one. The discussion then touches on the roles of community food initiatives in Leuven in addressing food security and contributing to this sustainable food systems transformation.
