E1 : City talks

Abstract

On this episode of ‘Thoughts for a More Sustainable World’, we delve into some of the major challenges global metropolises are facing today. What makes cities rise and fall? How can we do better in an ever-urbanising world? Sustainable development students Yens, Long, Eleftheria and Andrea will take you across the globe to discuss four cities that are failing or succeeding when it comes to resiliency, inclusivity, sustainability and affordability, the central themes of UN SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. For each of these challenges, one of the students will present a socially innovative solution, to inform you not only about the problems we as humanity are facing but about some solutions, that have already been turned into practice, as well.
