In Breaking Poverty, we embark on the ambitious journey of ending poverty in all its forms by 2030, inspired by SDG 1: No Poverty. This podcast dives into inspiring stories from Thailand, China, and Bangladesh, showcasing how innovative, community-driven solutions—like handicraft initiatives, agrivoltaics, and microloans—are breaking poverty cycles and reshaping lives. This is not just about tackling statistics; it is about creating opportunities, empowering communities, and driving systemic change through social innovation and sustainable development. From traditional crafts to groundbreaking technologies, discover how the path to a poverty-free world starts with bold ideas and unwavering determination.
Timeline and Workflow:
18 November: The group held its first meeting to discuss and finalize the podcast topic.
19-21 November: Pik, Sisa, and Scott gathered data and information for the case studies.
22-23 November: Jauza began drafting the script based on the research for case studies. Scott revised and finalized the second draft of the script.
24 November: The second meeting was held to review the drafted script and refine its structure and content.
28 November: The team conducted the first recording session.
29-30 November: Hedy undertook the first round of audio editing
10-11 December: Content and script were revised based on feedback, the 3 cases were adjusted accordingly by each case researcher.
13 December: The team conducted a second recording session.
14-19 December: Hedy completed a second round of audio editing

- Conducted in-depth research and gathered data for Case Study 3 (Microloan in Bangladesh).
4. Jauza Hasna:
- Took the lead in writing the scenario and script.
5. Li Xuanchen:
- Managed all audio editing tasks and music selection.
6. Group Effort:
- Every member reviewed and contributed to each phase of the project. Feedback on research, scriptwriting, and production ensured a unified tone and strengthened the final podcast. · The collaborative process involved cross-checking each other’s work and refining content for the best outcome.
